I worked on Healthy Feet Store’s campaign as a Senior SEO Analyst. The client came to us to recover from a platform migration. The client had migrated from a Yahoo store to a Bigcommerce right before the holiday season. The migration wasn’t handled correctly which resulted in a huge performance drop, especially on Mobile.

I was assigned to assist our sales team in their proposal after the client contacted us. I did the following:

• SEO Technical Audit
• Website Speed & Core Web Vitals
• Migration Audit
• Tasks Prioritization

After the client signed and became our client, I was assigned to handle the campaign as a Senior SEO Analyst. The migration audit I had previously prepared became the backbone of our campaign, The audit focused a lot on comparisons between the old and the new website, and it involved:

• Content comparison
• Design Comparison
• SEO Technical Issues
• Mobile Comparison
• Conversion Rate Optimization

As a result, I found a lot of content that went missing after the migration, design issues on the Mobile version of the website, and a lot of SEO technical issues. My strategy focused a lot on fixing the usability issues on Mobile which were a lot. It also focused on restructuring the content, because the way it was posted had caused a lot of Duplicate content and Hidden content.

The first few months were focused on:

• Fixing Hidden Content
• Fixing Duplicate Content
• Fixing Mobile Design Issues
• Linking Top Performing Pages That Went Orphan After The Migration
• Fixing Content That Went Missing After The Migration
• Fixing GSC Errors
• Improving Bounce Rate

The Strategy also considered other aspects of growth for the client. Whether it’s new landing pages or re-optimizing pages that are not performing well. As a result, the client’s performance improved massively in 1 year, recovering the website’s impressions before the migration.
